Thin lightguides are a powerful complimentary technology to capacitive & membrane switches.

When used with capacitive switch technology, Design LED lightguides have a major advantage by placing the LED illumination layer over the capacitive switch sense pad. This avoids the need to create holes in the sense pad to allow light to escape.
